Tokyo in October

Because Jebi beat me to Kyoto last month, I've postponed Japan travel plans to Oct 3 - 16.  It will be Tokyo this time, Kyoto can wait.

Hotels that I've researched so far that I would like to list here for future reference:


  • Hotel Unizo Ginza-Itchome
    • reasons:  
      • according to my research, Ginza is one of best district for first time traveler.  Of course, other place would be Shinjuku
      • has a lock box in room
  • MyCUBE by MYSTAYS Asakusa Kuramae
    • reasons:
      • looks like fun!
      • cheap!
      • very close to Kuramae train station
      • lock box (by bed) and roomy luggage storage (under bed)
      • meet fellow travelers.
  • Hotel Mets Komagome - owned by Japan Rail
    • reasons:  
      • cheap, could be cheaper as a package that also includes JR Pass
      • onsite at Komagome train station
  • Hotel Villa Fontaine Tokyo-Nihombashi Hakozaki
    • reasons:  
      • cheap
      • quiet location
